The Americans #904
Officer Gary E. Maisack
American Revolution, 1776

Gary Maisack, newly commissioned Lieutenant in the
5th Pennsylvania Regiment, patiently directs the
awkward evolutions of his new recruits, as he and his
NCOs struggle to turn the mawkish farm boys into
regulars which will please the eagle eye of the
Inspector General, Baron Von Stubben.
Lieutenant Maisack is fortunate to have been included
in the clothing issue of 1779, and in his new
regimentals, made in France, and his officer's bearing,
forged in the snows of Valley Forge, have made
this one-time farmer a hardened professional,
every bit the equal of his adversary.
