The Americans #926 Richard F. Pielin
Sheriff, 1880
Santa Fe, the capitol of the rugged, enchanting but
tough New Mexico Territory, lay cradled at the base
of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. It needed a sheriff.
Dick Pielin was the man for the job. As he leaned against
a fence post in the Plaza across from the
Governor's Palace, Dick's thoughts centered on
the hard days ahead for the Territory.
He would be ready.
