Captain Steven G. Lipke
Officer of Light Artillery

Captain Lipke had seen action in the Sedcond Seminole War
and served with distinction in the Mexican War as a
lieutenant with the 3rd. Artillery (Ringold's). He had
gained respect for commanding his battery in action
in the new war, the Civil War. Pulling on his gauntlets,
Captain Lipke wondered how his gunners would fare
against the famed Army of Northern Virginia.
